And she has a name....

So it took us two days of hugs and smooching little puppy lips but she finally decided to share her name with us. Internet meet our little Evee....
Thing one, thing two, and Knuckles are all so happy....well so am I but you know....the puppy was for the kids...lol I love her. Off to the Vet today, she came with a health guarantee but only if we take her in to see the Vet within 48 hours of purchase. Sounds like I bought a pair of shoes not a dog. So tell me what you think? Is it the best christmas present ever....I think so!

Please help....

I got this from DELMER and I couldn't help but share, even if you can't help, pass it on to everyone you know so maybe they can! I don't believe in fighting wars we don't need to be involved in but I FULLY support our boys who do. I try to keep quite about strong issues or should I say beliefs, (I didn't even know my husband was a republican until voting day when the little lady said..."dinner discussions must be interesting with one rep. and one demo...") because I think as personal opinions ...they should stay just that. Personal.I have a question.... has anyone else noticed how the blogging community is or has become so focused on politics? I didn't start reading blogs because I was interested in other peoples political opinions...I started reading to find people with my same problems and such. I started writing my OWN blog because it is a nice way to vent and talk to people and feel close(but not too close) to others as I don't make friends very easily. I know this is stream of consciousness but I am venting, humor me.  I enjoy hearing about others days and knowing I am not the only one who occasionally wants to strangle my teenage kids (I LOVE THEM WITH ALL MY HEART) even though I never really would.... Can we start getting back to our lives and leave politics alone, or alone until he makes a mistake at least....

That is all...for now. I am sorry if I offended anyone, I didn't mean it personally to anyone in particular as we all seem slightly obsessed right now. Hopefully this does not change any ones mind about whether or not they still read my blog, I don't have enough friends yet to go pissing everyone off. I love all of you and I am just venting.

xoxo

Will it work???

I read this over at Mid-Century Moms and I think I am going to give it a shot, cause up until now I have been doing everything this says not to and...I am losing my mind one small peice at a time.....

1. Feign deafness.  This bothers your teen when she is trying to ask for something.  And believe me, the only time she'll talk to you is when she is trying to ask for something.
2. Agree with everything she says.  "Yes, dear, I am horrible."  "No, dear, I don't understand."  For the love of God, do not try to reason with said teen.  Therein lies madness.
3. Do not attempt to engage your teen in lighthearted chat.  The withering glare you will receive would make Medusa seem friendly.
4. Try not to hang out with friends whose teens seem to be perfect.  It's too painful.
5. If your teen continues to act particularly unpleasant, leave his/her name and number at the local military recruiter's office.  Remember, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Wish me luck, updates soon...

Things that I am Thankful for....

I recently came across a blog of someone I haven't seen in years and she had her Thanksgiving post up already. I have decided since so many wonderful things have happened lately that I would follow suit.
  • Our new house passed the inspection and everything is progressing beautifully.
  • THE PUPPY (self explanatory)
  • My children are healthy and happy and unconditionally wonderful all around.
  • I have a husband that I love and puts up with ALL my nonsense(so he must love me...right?)
  • I have a JOB ( not easy to come by these days if you don't already have one.)
  • I enjoy (mostly) the people I work with, which is good since I have to spend a lot of time with them...)
  • The weather here in Tucson is FANTASTIC right now.
  • Our friends D&A (for now, I will have to come up with nicknames for them soon) had us over for dinner Sat. night and we realized the new house is less than 10 minutes from theirs. we currently live almost 1/2 hour from them and can't wait to see them more often.
  • Wordless Wed...... THE PUPPY

XX.....see you soon!

My new house rocks!!!

We got the house!!!

OMG I am so excited!!!! We heard last night from the realtor, they accepted our offer! If the inspection goes well and we run into no unforseen issues we get the keys on Dec. 12th, that means technically we could be settled in for our first Christmas!! I can not even begin to tell you guys what a hugh step in my life this is, I feel like I am finally on the right path and am doing something proactive for myself and Family! Can't wait to show pictures, it has a lot of charm and also a lot of room to make it mine(ours of course...). Wish us luck in the next few weeks! xoxo....

Holy CRAP......

I love her, her name is Daisy...she is just over 2 weeks old. She comes home to stay on Dec. 1st She is a full bred French Bulldog and I think I may not get another present all year, but if I have to use them all up at once, She is totally worth it! I also have other good news, we made an offer on a house last night....YIKES! It is an amazing house, in an older part of town, close to U of A and good supermarkets(Wild Oats and Trader Joe's) It has 3 big bedrooms and a formal dining room, huge living room and just enough kitchen to be comfy. The yard is fantastic as well, it has all local vegetation that is very low maintenance, no watering or mowing, maybe some trimming but that is it! I even took Thing 1 and she said "I could Totally see myself living here" I can't tell you how much that Rocks! I had a GREAT day yesterday...how about you, share your day with me?

All I want to know is who's coming with me?

I have decided I am no longer qualified to be a functioning adult. I am checking out! just kidding...lol It has been a tough week, work is nearly unbearable, politics SUCK!!! I work in a small office with three other women and my guess is between menopause and periods we are all too catty for our own good. More later.....
On a more happy note, Go Barack!
And for W.W. I give you......Nada
I am not on my PC so I will try to remember later, xoxo
