Happy Anniversary Frankie......

I love the way you look at me,
Your eyes so bright and blue.
I love the way you kiss me,
Your lips so soft and smooth.

I love the way you make me smile,
And the ways you show you care.
I love the way you say, "I Love You,"
And the way you're always there.

I love the way you touch me,
Sending chills down my spine.
I love that you are with me,
And glad that you are mine.

I love you so deeply,
I love you so much,
I love the sound of your voice
And the way that we touch.
I love your warm smile
And your kind, thoughtful way,

The joy that you bring

To my life every day.
I love you today
As I have from the start,
And I will love you forever
With all of my heart.

The great search.....

So Frankie and I have been looking for a house.... We have physically looked at about 20 houses so far, I never imagined that there would be so so many houses in our price range. We found a house that we both liked and decided it would be a good idea to have pa-pa come check it out since he is a structural engineer. Shot down our dreams. Starting all over from square one...I am so very tired.
On a happier note tomorrow (Halloween) is our third anniversary! We are checking into one of the fabulous Tucson resorts for the night. Champagne and chocolate strawberries upon check in, five star dinner and a huge marble bathtub for dessert;)I can't wait. This will be the first year we have a sitter for all 3 children so we can do something for our anniversary instead of something for Halloween. I can't decide what to wear, well I know what I am wearing AFTER dinner, just not TO dinner, should I go with the LBD or should I go for color? ARGH!! anyhoo..I probably won't be around this weekend because after we check out of the Resort, thing one has a soccer game and there is also another Art fair on Sunday and I Will be keeping other peoples children occupied while the parents spend lots of money(hopefully on my mother's painting's). Love to you hope your weekend is fun and I will see ya on Monday!

First ever pics of my Tattoo's

So, 2 years ago in July I started a project that I never imagined would take so long to finish. Still not complete, this is the first published picture of my left arm sleeve. For a long time my Tattoo artist asked that I not post any pictures of my arm because it looked disjointed and not so hot. I was volunteering at a local art fair last weekend and a photographer for the event asked if he could do some shots of my arm as another form or exapmle of local art. This is the picture that he decided to use in his article and he sent it to me for my approval. I look at my tattoo everyday but had never seen it from someone else's perspective, it's pretty freakin' cool if I do say so myself! I am lucky enough to have a job where no one forces me to "cover myself" or try to "fit in". All my life I have adored tattoo's and just recently married a man who is also a lover of body art and didn't care how I expressed myself but loves me for who I am. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Oh my aching head...

So I am sitting at work and have one of the worst headache's i think I have ever had. It is Friday and although I start work at 6am I don't get off until 3, I am just wishing I could lay down and close my eyes to the pain. I have had said headache for going on 5 full days. I was taking Topomax(which I hated) and it wasn't helping so I stopped taking it and do not miss the forgetfulness, tingling fingers/toes, lack of sex drive or the stuttering that it caused. I have a prescription for Maxalt but when I take them I feel like my eyeballs will explode from all the pressure in my skull.
I have been battling Migraines for about 2.5 years now and have tried many different prescription drugs, none of them seem to help much, if they do it is usually only for the first couple of weeks then back to never ending pain...ARGH. I have been to see my regular doctor and have gotten Toridal shots that seemed to help until they did a blood test and realized that my Liver was not happy (increased cretin(sp) levels). I am at the end of my rope, I am snappy with the kids and am sure that I am driving my husband up the wall with all of my demands for peace and quiet.
Does anyone have a holistic approach that they can suggest, I am sick of pumping my body full of useless pharmaceuticals that never seem to solve the problem only cause more.....HELP ME before I completely lose my mind(or what little I have left!!!)

Fantastic Story

I read this today on "Fantastagirl's" blog and it brought tears to my eyes.....I hope she doesn't mind that I stole it. I think there is a definite lesson to be learned here.

The story of the butterfly

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly.
One day a small opening appeared.
He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours
as it struggled to squeeze its body through the tiny hole.
Then it stopped, as if it couldn't go further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly.
He took a pair of scissors and
snipped off the remaining bits of cocoon.
The butterfly emerged easily but
it had a swollen body and shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch it,
expecting that any minute the wings would enlarge
and expand enough to support the body,
Neither happened!
In fact the butterfly spent the rest of its life
crawling around.
It was never able to fly.

What the man in his kindness
and haste did not understand:
The restricting cocoon and the struggle
required by the butterfly to get through the opening
was a way of forcing the fluid from the body
into the wings so that it would be ready
for flight once that was achieved.

Sometimes struggles are exactly
what we need in our lives.
Going through life with no obstacles would cripple us.
We will not be as strong as we could have been
and we would never fly.
