Surgery tomorrow

So again, I know it has been awhile (even I am getting sick of saying that...) I have had doctor appointments what seems like everyday and Tennis matches for Thing 2. We had to get Thing 1's hair dyed (she went dark and it looks sooo cute), we had to volunteer at the car show this weekend and knuckles had an eye appointment that didn't turn out so well. To top everything off, I am having surgery tomorrow to remove the lump from my back and also the one from my scalp.
Okay so, lets see where to start....Thing 2, Tennis season for Junior high is now officially over. It was his first season ever and he played really well. He has a great serve and hopefully he decides to stick with it. He gave up a potentially life long soccer career to play so I hope he doesn't hate it or decide it isn't worth it next year.
Thing 1's hair is kind of a long story...at the beginning of junior high (she is now a high school sophomore) she dyed it bright flame red. When her father got married in May his then Fiance told her she had to dye her hair because it CLASHED with the red bridesmaid dresses. So they took her to some random salon in Hawaii and had this fat cow demolish her hair and put these horrible spaghetti looking highlights in it. Well last Friday I paid to have it returned to her natural dark blond (repair job) at an upper scale salon here in town...Looks fantastic and she no longer hates the sight of her own hair...YEAH MOM!!
With knuckles it is a bit of a tear jerker, apparently when he was 2 his right eye quit developing and his brain shut down function to it, because he was still learning how to walk etc... there were no outward sighs such as stumbling equilibrium etc and it still tracks and moves with his left eye so Frankie and his ex never noticed that the eye wasn't working. Knuckles was sitting at the table doing his homework the other day and looked up at me and said " hey Alex did you know that when I close my left eye I can't see anything out of my other one?" my thought..."hummm that is odd!" Frankie...check this out, Knuckles tell daddy what you just told me!" he repeats story... one eye appointment later we have a 6 year old that wears glasses that only correct his vision to 20/50 and needs to see a specialist in order to regain sight in his right eye...who would have thought....
And last but not least, my surgery will not be talked about until it is over because I don't know anything and I am not going to worry until I have something to worry about. XOXO

Slacker....yeah that's me!

So I know I haven't been writing much, I have a lot going on, doctor appointments nearly 2 times a week. I have a condition called Adenomyosis.I also have severe headache's that they think may or may not be migraine and may or may not be tension. I also found out today that a lump that I found about 6 months to a year ago on my scalp MAY be a tumor, it could also just be a cyst.... because it is on my scalp they can not take it out in the Dr's office, it has to be taken out in the OR and I have to be Knocked out...I HATE being knocked out! Can you say Stressed out....so instead of venting I have been hiding...anybody else do this? I have decided to post some pictures of things that make me happy...enjoy!!!

The first one is me and thing 1 & 2 a couple weekends ago...still summer, the second one was taken by my talented daughter of my handsome son and the third pic is thing 1 & 2 when they are at their best and behaving and loving each other...oh how I wish it was always this way! Until next time....kbye

Fantastic weekend fun...

We had a blast, first of all, we stayed at The Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix( Frankie wouldn't let me post that prior, as he thought someone would stalk us and kill thing 1 and 2 even though no one reads my blog...lol) it is fantastic, totally kid friendly. They have 3-5 restaurants on-site depending on what time of year it is as to how many are open, a spa, golf course, water park, fitness center, movies after dark...everything you could ever need without leaving the property. The rooms had recently been remodeled, the beds were amazing, the pools were well taken care of(Frankie owns a pool company and has issues with public pools and he swam...miracle!!!) The Hotel catered to our every need.We hardly ever even put on regular clothes, mostly walked around in our bathing suits ALL weekend...not to worry, everyone was doing it.When eating in the restaurants we threw on a sundress or the likes but mostly..flip flops and bikinis etc. Fantastic! They had a shuttle service that ran to a nearby mall, one of the biggest outlet malls in AZ(Superstition Springs I think?), and it was incredibly all very affordable.
Now the thing is...and fill me in if this happens to you as well, the second we pulled back in to Tucson Thing 1 and 2 started fighting. For 3 whole days they didn't utter a single negative word towards each other or lay a finger on one another but as soon as we were back it was like the good bad switch...wow....I just don't understand. It is very frustrating especially after having such a fantastic weekend.
Last night, yuck, our power out for like 9 hours, more on that later!

update for the weekend....

You Are A Peanut

You are popular, even with people who tend to have picky taste.

Kids love you, as do dogs. From rednecks to snobs, most people have a place for you in their hearts.

As popular as you are, there are some people who can't be near you.

Don't take it too personally. There's just a few people you rub the wrong way.

This is really quite cute, the funny thing is ...For most of her childhood I called thing 1 peanut because she was always butting into conversations where she had no right...peanut gallery..get it. For years it infuriated her. Actually one of my favorite, but sadly never accomplished, Halloween costumes for the whole family was picture frames with peanut portraits painted on them with holes cut for our heads...the family going as..."The peanut gallery" ...what do you think...Funny huh?!?We are leaving today!!!! YEAH!!!!I am so Frickin excited I can hardly wait. the day seems to be speeding by too which is awesome, usually when you are waiting for something the day creeps, not so today. I am super busy and WOW I just can't wait. The only thing that sucks is it is supposed to rain all weekend, keep your fingers crossed for us that we get some hours of sunshine so we can ride the amazing 8 storey water slides and bake or brains by the beautiful blue wave pool. Love ya!!! See ya on Tuesday!! Peace out.

Catch me if you can...

I am beat, I had to help Granny with a yard sale this weekend. So during the week I normally get up at 5:15 am to go to work...this weekend the yard sale started at 7 and she wanted me there at 7 so no sleeping in. I was up at 6am both Sat. and Sun. I can't believe that I didn't get anything around the house done either. I believe only one load of laundry got done. Our dumb college neighbors had a party Friday night and they weren't so bad but the noise they were making was enough to upset the dos who decided it was a smashing good Idea to bark all night long..... never enough sleep...I am sure I could sleep for the next three straight years and still not sleep enough.
We are going to Phoenix this weekend to stay at a resort/spa I think we are going to have a blast. It is just Frankie and thing 1 and 2 and myself, knuckles was going to come with us but as punishment for his little incident at school last week we decided that his not joining us would be proper punishment that wouldn't punish us all. When you ground a child like knuckles from TV, no one can watch TV because he doesn't care what he is watching as long as he is watching....we call it TOBO.....TV On, Brain Off...all you moms out there know exactly what I mean, so in essence it punishes us all because the TV has to remain off otherwise he is glued to it. Anyway I am going to try to take a nap before Frankie gets home and I will chat with you all later....bye internet....MUAH!

Weird pregnancy dreams....

Mary had the fantastic idea to share funny or weird pregnancy dreams, mine goes a little something like this....
I am laying on the delivery room table and my legs are up in the stirrups, I can see the doctors head in between my legs and my husband at the time is standing beside me holding my hand counting 1...2...3...4...we all remember the drill. The lights over head are bright and hot I feel as if the entire world is trying to squeeze out through my 19 year old vajay...and I am generally just scared out of my mind, with one last push the doctor stands up victorious and says "Congratulations Mrs. M It a girl" and my husband promptly says " Holy shit sweetheart you just gave birth to Quatto" Little back story for those of you who don't know who Quatto is, a little movie starring the Governor of California had recently come out called Total recall and the leader of the rebel army was an alien named Quatto who lived inside a mans stomach... I'm sure if you can search you tube and find his one appearance in the movie but I am at work and don't have access to streaming media (sorry)....Long story short...too late... my worst fear was that when my daughter was born she was going to resemble Quatto from the movie Total Recall....Funny or not the only other dreams I had while pregnant were the requisite cheating husband dreams...lol
